Íæż½ã½ãTravel Advisory - China

Dear Íæż½ã½ãCommunity,

Íæż½ã½ãis following the recommendation that travelers avoid all nonessential travel to China due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus. The U.S. State Department also has issued a warning. As a result, Íæż½ã½ãis not authorizing University-related travel to China by students, faculty or staff for the immediate future. Travel requests for later this spring will be evaluated following corresponding guidance from the CDC.

Chinese officials have closed transport within and out of Wuhan and other cities in Hubei province, including buses, subways, trains, and the international airport. Other locations within China may be affected and the situation is fluid. Íæż½ã½ãstudents, faculty or staff considering private travel to China are urged to follow the CDC and U.S. State Department recommendations, as well.
