The Battle of the Iron Skillet: The story behind the historic rivalry

It's that time of year again, Mustangs — !

One of the longest-standing and most-heated college football rivalry matchups in Texas is upon us. Head Coach Rhett Lashlee leads the ÍæÅ¼½ã½ãMustangs as they take on the TCU Horned Frogs on our home turf this Saturday, September 24th. The spirit and tradition runs deep, as students, alumni, families, faculty, staff and the surrounding community are all invited to the Boulevard for pre-game tailgating to cheer on the home team toward the next Iron Skillet victory. To get up to speed before the big game, brush up on a few highlights from this more-than-a-century-old rivalry!
