Biographical Note

Dr. Richard Marlink is the founding director of the Rutgers Global Health Institute. Prior to that, he was a professor of public health at Harvard University, where he helped create the 1996 Botswana-Harvard Partnership with the Harvard AIDS Initiative, as well as the African Comprehensive HIV/AIDS Partnerships. He also founded the Kitso AIDS Training Program, which would become Botswana’s national AIDS training program. Following the launch of PEPFAR, Marlink was Botswana’s country director for the Botswana-Harvard PEPFAR effort.
