Undergraduate Admissions
Applying to ÍæÅ¼½ã½ãLyle is the first step in making your college experience one that defines your future success. We carefully consider the total profile of a student that balances achievement in a variety of areas, not just test scores.
Fall: Regular Decision - January 15
We consider the quality of your high school curriculum and whether you elected to take more challenging courses. Work experience counts too! We look for creativity, leadership and community involvement. In short, we seek academically-able students who possess a variety of skills, talents, perspectives and life experiences.

Maximize your future options by earning a Lyle Engineering master’s degree.
- Earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in less time than completing the degrees separately.
- Start exploring this option in the spring of your sophomore year and apply before reaching 90 credit hours.
- Begin taking graduate-level coursework that will be applied to both the bachelor’s and master’s degrees (up to 9 hours).
- Network with your graduate-level classmates who have years of experience to share with you.

Graduate programs currently offered in Weekend Format include Manufacturing Management, Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, and Software Engineering.
Classes are typically held every other Friday, in the DFW area. Classes are completed in 5 sessions.
Cohorts start in the Fall, typically the first Friday in August.
Priority application deadline for Weekend Format is May 15; final deadline is July 15.
