GitHub Campus Program

Getting Started

GitHub is available to all active Íæż½ã½ãfaculty, staff, and students.

Signing In

  1. Click the Sign In button above.
  2. At SMU's Single sign-on, click Continue.

  3. Enter your NetID (e.g. user@smu.edu) and click Next.
  4. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra ID page with your NetID and your Íæż½ã½ãPassword and then click Login.
  5. Complete the Duo Security authentication, if needed. 
  6. You will then be directed to SMU's online space in GitHub.

    • If you have a personal GitHub account, you can sign in using those credentials and connect to your Íæż½ã½ãGitHub account. 
    • If you are new to GitHub, click the Create an account hyperlink and create an account to associate with your Íæż½ã½ãGitHub account. 

Accessing Your Content

You can upload content easily to GitHub using your web browser. Share your content with your colleagues or outside of Íæż½ã½ãusing GitHub and collaborate on projects.
